Earnest Lawson attended LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tennessee where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. To continue his education, he moved to Chicago, Illinois where he gained his Master of Arts at Columbia College.
He has over twenty years in the field of art. He has been an advertising manager, and a visiting educator/demonstrator in various schools and library systems in New Orleans, Desoto County, Mississippi, and Lemoyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tennessee. He is proficient in pen, brush, chalk, airbrush, spray art using conventional media and computer techniques. He also is a Thai Yoga Therapist.
